Filming continues today for Paramount+ new TV series Laird, which features Sir Kenneth Branagh. Please see below information provided by the production team regarding street and road access:
Filming will take place around Spa Street, Denburn Court, Raeburn Place and Gilcomston Park. Please avoid using Denburn Health Centre as a through route on and use alternative routes to access Rosemount Viaduct on Monday 26th October.
STREET ACCESS AND VEHICLE MOVEMENTS – SUNDAY 25TH OCTOBER
Our production trucks will begin arriving from 4:00pm on Sunday 25th October. Please could we ask to ensure the street is clear by 3:00pm to allow safe access and set-up. Six parking bays on Spa Street will remain reserved from 23rd October until 6th November to accommodate production vehicles and facilitate the removal of equipment after filming.
TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT AND ROAD ACCESS
As with our previous filming, traffic management measures will be in place. However, Gilcomston Park will not operate as a two-way road during filming. Instead, a one-way traffic system will operate, with all vehicles entering via Spa Street and exiting onto Gilcomston Park. Traffic management arrangements will be coordinated with Aberdeen City Council’s Traffic Management team. Our Locations Team will also be on site to assist with vehicle movements, resident access and any queries.
RESIDENT PARKING – DENBURN CAR PARK
Residents will once again be able to use Denburn Car Park free of charge during our filming dates. If you received a parking pass during our previous filming, please keep hold of it, as it will remain valid for this period. If you do not have a pass or require a replacement, please contact our Locations Team.
All resident vehicles must be removed from Denburn Car Park by 8:00am on Wednesday 28th October, when the car park will return to its usual pay-and-display operation. We will share the confirmed road closure times as soon as they are available. Please keep an eye on the main doors of your flat doors in the coming days for this information.
We will do our best to minimise disruption throughout the filming period and remain considerate of residents and local businesses.
